Riyadh: A court in Jeddah sentenced 18 people, including women, to the crime of using narcotic substances.
According to Saudi media, the total term of the sentence given by the court is up to 80 years. It was reported that drug addicts used to consume drugs in luxury cabins near the beach.
According to local media, one of the 18 accused is from Syria, while the other 17 are from Saudi Arabia and women are also included. According to the court verdict, the criminals were found to be involved in immoral activities besides narcotics.
In this regard, it was further informed that the accused include women, businessmen, marketing director, pharmacy, nursing and students belonging to the same department. It should be noted that the court decision consisted of 190 pages while the court proceedings continued for 125 days.
