Karachi: During the first 10 months of the current financial year, Pakistanis living abroad remitted 22.7 billion dollars.
According to the State Bank, between the first 10 months (July to April) of the financial year 2022-23, the total volume of remittances of Pakistanis living abroad was 22.7 billion dollars.
Compared to the same period of last financial year, remittances have decreased by 13%.
According to data released by the central bank, workers’ remittances received $2.2 billion in April, a growth rate of 12.9 percent month-on-month in workers’ remittances in April.
According to the State Bank, in April remittances of $489.3 million were received from Saudi Arabia, $382.1 million from the United Arab Emirates, $360.7 million from the United Kingdom and $275.8 million from the United States.
