The wife who wrote the book in grief of her husband's death turned out to be the murderer

A mother of three children in the US state of Utah who wrote a children’s book to express her grief after the death of her husband has been implicated in the murder.

According to international media reports, 33-year-old Cory Richens has been arrested for the murder of her husband Eric Richens. She is accused of killing her husband by poisoning her with fentanyl.

Prosecutors argue that Cory Richens made a late-night call to authorities in March of last year to report her husband’s death. The accused had told the police that she and her husband had celebrated the sale of the house in which she served her husband drinks and she went to put one of their three children to sleep.

In her statement to the police, the accused said that when she came back to her husband, she had stopped breathing and called the emergency services.

However, Eric Richens was found to have five times the lethal amount of fentanyl in his body when he underwent a medical examination. It is an addictive drug that is often used in entertainment venues such as dance clubs.

According to police officers, she was charged following an investigation and a statement from her ‘unknown acquaintance’ that she was selling fentanyl.

On the other hand, the victim’s family also told the police that after some time after the murder of Eric Richens, they became suspicious of Corey. Eric Richens had already said in his life that if anything happens to me, my wife will be responsible.
