KElectric denied the unannounced loadshedding of electricity in Karachi and said that the electricity supply in the city is normal.
Talking about the news related to load shedding in the examination centers, the spokesperson of KElectric said that the list of examination centers was not provided to KElectric by the concerned body.
The spokesperson of K Electric further said that K Electric has been providing all possible support regarding the exams in the past as well. Provision of list of test centers is subject to revision by KElectric.
The spokesperson KElectric further said that there is no loadshedding of electricity in about 75% of the city area and power supply is normal.
According to the spokesman, some areas of Karachi are facing recovery problems, or the rate of theft through kunds is very high. In areas where there are recovery issues or there are curves, load shedding is carried out as per the schedule given on KElectric’s website.
Timely payment of bills is very important for continuous supply of electricity. Similarly, the use of coils creates safety issues and disruption of the power supply system, which also increases local faults, which cannot be equated with loadshedding.
The spokesperson of KElectric has said that the company is continuing to supply electricity according to the demand by utilizing all its production means.
