Curfew relaxed by 4 hours in the Indian state of Manipur

Curfew imposed in all 11 districts was relaxed by 4 hours today after ethnic riots in the Indian state of Manipur.

According to Indian media, no incidents of riots have been reported in Manipur in 24 hours, the affected areas are being monitored with the help of drones and helicopters.

According to reports, 23 thousand citizens were evacuated from the affected areas.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court of India has sought a report from the state government while expressing concern over the situation in Manipur.

According to Indian media, 60 people have been killed and 231 injured due to the tense situation in the state of Manipur, 1700 temples and churches were burnt in violent incidents.
