Texas: A gunman opened fire indiscriminately in a bustling shopping mall in Allen, Texas, killing 8 people and injuring 7.
According to the World News Agency, an attacker dressed in black and armed with modern weapons opened fire in a shopping mall in the American city of Allen when hundreds of people were busy shopping there.
Fearing the firing, people ran. A stampede broke out in the shopping mall during which many children and women were seriously injured due to being crushed while 6 people died on the spot due to bullet injuries while 2 died in the hospital.
7 people were also injured in the firing, out of which 3 have been kept in the intensive care ward due to their critical condition. The fear of increasing the number of casualties is being expressed.
After the chase, the police surrounded the accused and asked to arrest him, but the accused attacked the officers with a sharp dagger. In self-defence, the police shot and killed the accused.
The identity of the accused has not been revealed and the motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. An inquiry committee was formed.
It should be noted that the number of people killed in shooting incidents in the United States is the highest in any developed country. In America, 45 thousand people died in 2022, while 49 thousand people died in 2021.
