Karachi: A 6-year-old child who fell into an open manhole in Gulshan Iqbal area and went missing could not be found even after 24 hours.
According to Express News, all the rescue teams reached the spot on Sunday morning, but due to the lack of modern equipment and heavy machinery, the digging of the sewage canal could not be done, due to which the rescue operation to find the child is stalled.
According to the rescue team, the drain of the sewage line was excavated late at night with the help of an excavator and the area has been fully searched but the child could not be found.
Due to the delay in the rescue operation, the family of the child and the residents of the area are also agitated.
The child’s father says that 6-year-old Abhiyan was second among three brothers and a student of class I, his results came on Saturday itself and Abhiyan scored 94% marks and Abhiyan asked him to bring pizza in the night. .
Chacha said that on Saturday at 4 pm, Abhiyan fell into the open manhole, rescue teams reached the spot after an hour and a half and at 9:30 an excavator was brought to dig out a small sewage drain.
He said that for the last 9 months, they have been telling the institutions to solve this problem, they were waiting for an accident, now the accident has happened, we should be told what to do.
Abhiyan’s grandfather has demanded the administrator Karachi and the government of Sindh to immediately send machinery to search for our child, what happened to our child today may happen to someone else’s child tomorrow.
