Ohio: Banning fruit and menthol flavors could curb the burgeoning youth vaping crisis, a study has suggested.

Researchers at Ohio State University in the US surveyed vaping children between the ages of 14 and 21 across the US. These children had vaped at least once in the past 30 days (defined as regular e-cigarette use). went).

The survey revealed that 45 percent of the participants preferred fruit flavor while 30.5 percent preferred fruit ice or fruit and menthol.

In comparison, one in 10 people named menthol as their favorite flavor while three percent named tobacco flavor as their favorite flavor.

When vapers were asked if they would stop vaping if only fruit flavors were banned, 38.8 percent said ‘yes’.

While when asked about the ban on menthol, this rate reached 70.8 percent.
