Brahmin couple looking for Muslim daughter-in-law

Wherever there are Muslims, there are also their orphanages and other such institutions established by the Akbars of Muslims, which are not only the glory of the Muslims of their country, but also an undeniable proof of their knowledge, friendship and national compassion.

From Sir Syed’s Aligarh Muslim University to Badruddin Taibji’s ‘Anjuman Islam’ in Mumbai, educational institutions are serving the nation.

The last mentioned “Anjuman” is the educational institution of Mumbai in which more than 100,000 Muslim boys and girls are being adorned with the jewel of education in its various schools. The exemplary actor of Indian film who was called the Emperor of Emotions i.e. Dilip Kumar and the star of Indian cricket Salim Durrani and a prominent Indian politician and the first Muslim Chief Minister of Maharashtra Abdur Rahman Antole were also students of this school. have been.

Dilip Kumar and the name of ‘Anjuman Islam’ are fresh in mind. The idea of Khalifa Ziauddin, a principal of Anjuman Islam High School also came up. The late Khalifa had a very prominent role in the founders of the educational prestige of this school during his time.

When a Jalsa Tehinat was held in honor of Khalifa Ziauddin, the way Dilip Kumar participated in this Jalsa is also a historical event of Dilip Kumar’s filmic and moral character. That jalsa used to be a source of pride for its organizers, but Dilip Kumar’s participation in the honorary jalsa of Khalifa Zia-ud-Din itself turned his happiness into the glory of “Kardar Hasan Yusuf”.

Dilip Kumar did not participate in this congratulatory meeting, but Yusuf Khan, who had been a disciple of Khalifa Ziauddin, participated and his participation was an unexpected sight for all the participants of the meeting.

Khalifa Ziauddin was also the Principal of Anjuman Islam and the President of the Football Association, in the last days of his life he was unable to walk and a wheelchair was his only means of transportation, Anjuman Islam. When the curtain of the said Jalsa Gah (Hall) was raised, a wheelchair slowly appeared on the empty stage on which Khalifa Ziauddin was sitting and Dilip Kumar pushed the wheelchair from behind and brought it to the middle of the stage. That in this meeting, the elders of Mumbai, in which former students of Anjuman Islam were present in large numbers, all of them welcomed their teacher by getting up from their seats.

Last Friday, April 28, ‘Anjuman-e-Islam’ had organized Eid Milan, in this event also a large number of elders of Mumbai and former students of the Anjuman participated. In the Eid meeting, the non-Muslim elders of the city also addressed the audience and talked about the promotion of national unity.

At this time, the wave of hatred among the people of India has poisoned the country’s atmosphere, in such a way, such events and the arrival of non-Muslims in it is a ray of light, but it is a bright act. The way most of the Muslim preachers spoke was better than if they had remained showmen on the stage, but what should be done, that in our times, “showiness” has become a common disorder among us Muslims, however. In this meeting, the President of Anjuman Dr. Zaheer Qazi made an unusual mention of the women’s orphanage of Anjuman Islam, which gave a knock on the heart of most of the attendees. This remains as a question in our mind which we will mention at the end of this column.

Dr. Zaheer Qazi said that one day a Brahmin couple came to our office and told the purpose of their visit that they wanted a girl from our female orphanage to be their daughter-in-law. The lady of this Brahmin couple was the principal of a school and Her husband was also an educated person. However, Dr. Zaheer Qazi said to him, “Perhaps you don’t know that there are Muslim girls in our orphanage,” so he got the answer, “Our son is also a Muslim, whose name is Abdullah.”

It was found that this Brahmin couple had adopted a Muslim orphan boy and this couple liked a girl from the orphanage of Anjuman and made her their daughter-in-law. Not only did he adopt customs, but he also wore Muslim clothes. This incident is not only surprising, but also of exemplary importance in the poisonous atmosphere in India at the moment.

An incident also needs to be recorded here that once after attending an official function in Lucknow, Indian actress Lata Mangeshkar asked government officials to go to Bara Banki, a town near Lucknow, immediately a convoy of government officials and cars took her. Kar Bara reached Banki and Lata Mangeshkar was asked who do you want to meet here? So he said:

“Twelve from Banki’s Khumar.”

And when a person like Lata arrived at the poor Urdu poet’s house without any prior notice, Lata showed not only the Indian but also the Hindu happiness that all those present there were surprised. Lata bowed her head in front of Khamar Bara Bankvi and with great devotion touched their feet and placed her hand on her head.

Two examples in this column show an Indian tradition that is badly needed today, but will our real Muslim parents also publicize the goodness of making Muslim orphan girls their daughters-in-law through their actions or continue to preach the goodness only by word of mouth. There is no doubt that there are good and bad people in every nation. The high traditions and character of Muslims are still a beacon for the whole world.
