A dinner was given by prominent Pakistani American Democratic leader Tahir Javed in honor of Pakistan’s Minister of State for Petroleum, Senator Mossadegh Malik, who visited America.
The dinner was attended by Democratic members of Congress, including Pakistan American Caucus Chairman Sheila Jackson Lee and Congressman L. Green, Pakistani Consul General Aftab Chaudhary, American judges and senior government and political figures.
In the ceremony, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Elle Green presented the credentials of the US Congress to the visiting Pakistani minister.
Federal Minister Petroleum Mossadegh Malik paid tribute to the efforts of like-minded members of Congress and Pakistani-American leaders, especially Tahir Javed, for the stabilization of Pakistan-US relations.
Speaking on this occasion, the Federal Minister said that for ideal relations between Pakistan and America, it is necessary to promote direct and integrated relations between the public business and cultural circles of the two countries.
Tahir Javed, the host of the dinner, thanked the Federal Minister and other guests on this occasion and said that due to several reasons, strong relations between Pakistan and the United States are indispensable for which further progress is needed.
