Lahore: A case was registered against SHO Sabzazar in his own police station for torture, arbitrary detention and threats against PTI workers.
According to Express News, the case was registered in the complaint of a lawyer named Yasir Anwar, the sub-inspector, ASI and other constables have been named in the case, including the SHO.
The plaintiff’s case has taken the stand that the SHO targeted the PTI workers after the rally on May 1. Lathi charge was also made on the people gathered outside.
According to the plaintiff, the accused kept threatening to kill the police in the encounter and a case should be registered against them.
On the other hand, the authorities have said that the investigation of the matter is ongoing after registering a case, action will be taken on merit.
