The Ministry of Finance has released the details of financial operations from July 2022 to March 2023.
In the first 9 months of the current financial year, the debt of 3.58 trillion rupees was paid and the income of Pakistan was 3.4 trillion rupees.
According to the Finance Ministry, government expenditure, including defence, salaries, development and subsidies, was paid from loan proceeds.
According to the released details, a loan had to be taken to meet the deficit of 3.07 trillion rupees in the first 9 months.
According to the Ministry of Finance, from July 22 to March 23, 6.39 trillion was received from the total revenue of the country, 2.95 trillion was paid to the provinces under the NFC award, after which 3.44 trillion remained with the center.
According to the details released by the Ministry of Finance, from July 22 to March 23, the center spent 3.58 billion rupees on debt repayment, after paying the loan and interest and giving the share of the provinces, the center went into loss.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the government collected 362 billion rupees through tax on petroleum products, 3.1 trillion rupees were spent on domestic debt repayment and 0.47 trillion rupees on foreign debt.
According to the Ministry of Finance, one trillion rupees were spent on defense from July 22 to March 23.
