It has been revealed that a tax of 500 rupees is collected from tourists on entry to Kailash Valley in Chitral.
In the token receipt issued by the district administration, 2 thousand rupees were collected from 4 tourists.
The token receipt states that this money will be spent on the welfare of the people of Kailash.
Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral in a conversation with Geo News said that immediate notice of tax collection has been taken, 500 rupees will not be charged from tourists coming to Kailash Valley.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that the official who took money from the tourists has been suspended and an inquiry has been started.
He said that the photo of token number 3515 from tourists has gone viral in the name of toll tax, which means that money has been taken from so many tourists so far, everything will be clear in the investigation.
