According to Director Institute of Space Science Dr. Javed Iqbal, this lunar eclipse is penumbral, during which the moon’s brightness dims.
Javed Iqbal added that during a penumbral lunar eclipse, the moon is 10% less bright than usual, penumbral eclipses are usually difficult to observe.
