Geneva: The World Health Organization has officially declared the end of the global emergency of the Covid epidemic.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), after three years, the epidemic caused by the virus is now at its lowest level. In January 2021, the number of deaths per week from the virus was up to 100,000, but as of April 24, this rate has dropped to 3,500.
However, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the worldwide deaths may be up to 20 million, but 7 million deaths have been confirmed so far.
The head of WHO said that fifteen meetings were held in this regard and now it has been decided to raise the state of emergency in this meeting. In this regard, all the data and information have been carefully reviewed.
It was informed in the meeting that more than 13 billion doses of Covid vaccine have been given worldwide.
