The bill to review the judgments and orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan was passed in the senate amid uproar and noise.
The bill was presented by Irfan Siddiqui in the Senate.
Senate meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.
On this occasion, the opposition protested and raised slogans of contempt of court and tore copies of the bill.
Opposition leader Shehzad Waseem said that they are bringing the bill to waive the cases of incompetence, first they waived the corruption cases.
Azam Nazir Tarar said that Article 188 mentions the power of revision, in revision there is cruelty to people, procedural law has been brought to improve it.
During the passage of the Supreme Court’s judgments and order revision bill in the Senate, members of the opposition protested in the House and raised slogans in front of Chairman Dice.
On this occasion, security cordoned off the government and opposition benches, while the opposition in the Senate tore copies of the bill.
Private Power and Infrastructure Board Amendment Bill also passed
The Senate also passed the Private Power and Infrastructure Board Amendment Bill.
The bill was presented by Minister of State Shahadat Awan.
The report of the Parliamentary Committee was submitted regarding the amendments suggested by the Election Commission in the Election Act.
The report was presented by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
Shahzad Waseem said on this occasion that he himself is guilty of insulting the parliament, he has seen the attitude of the government, he does not get tired of talking about the supremacy of the parliament day and night, he is insulting the parliament and calling it a shop. What kind of deal have they come to sell in the shop? They threatened the Parliament that we will stay after passing this bill. They are businessmen and business is being done in Parliament. There is no question of revision in this bill, they are bringing a bill to waive the cases of incompetence, first they waived the corruption cases, this bill is a bill of businessmen.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that we have to defend the constitution.
