Karachi: The New Town Police has registered a case of killing of Hindu youth Kamal Kishan in the alleged encounter under the section of murder against the investigation police officer on the complaint of the father.
According to the details, on the night of May 1, in an alleged police encounter near a private hospital located on Stadium Road in New Town, the investigation police killed one youth and arrested another, claiming that they were street criminals.
On receiving the information about the incident, the family members of the Hindu youth who died and a large number of Hindu community gathered in front of the Newtown police station and protested strongly. Investigation officer Farman Shah was suspended.
In this regard, Babar Mirza Advocate said that yesterday the Newtown Police registered Case No. 165 of 2023 against the Investigation Officer Farman Shah under Section 302 of the complaint of the father of the Hindu youth Kamal Kishan who was killed in the alleged encounter. Is.
The plaintiff has given a statement to the police that he is a resident of Shanti Nagar Dalmia, my son Kamal Kishan and my friend’s son Anil had gone to collect the committee’s money because my daughter’s wedding, on the night of May 1st, they had taken the committee’s money. On his way back home, he passed in front of Newtown police station where a police mobile stopped him and searched his clothes.
The plaintiff has further said in the statement that after the police recovered 80 thousand rupees, mobile phone and other items from my son Kamal Kishan during the search, he called his partner Anil inside, then Syed Farman Ali Shah opened fire. Due to which my son was killed and false case No. 163 was registered against my friend’s son Anil in Newtown police station.
Family members of slain youth Kamal Kishan said that on Wednesday, the death of the deceased’s sister in a fake contest turned the house of married happiness into a mourning house.
Babar Mirza Advocate said that the post-mortem of the deceased’s body has been conducted and the situation will become more clear after the report.
