Efforts by the army to safely evacuate foreigners and diplomatic personnel from the war-torn country of Sudan continue.
During the bloody fighting that has been going on for several days, the process of evacuation of foreigners is going on and in this regard, Saudi Arabia has also taken steps for the safe return of its citizens.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the operation of Saudi Arabia to withdraw from Sudan is ongoing and 20 Saudis and 1866 foreigners have been brought to Jeddah.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the number of people being deported from Sudan has reached 4,879.
Earlier, Saudi state television reported that Saudi nationals and others evacuated from Sudan had arrived by sea in the port city of Jeddah in the first evacuation announced since the start of the war.
“The first evacuation plane from Sudan has arrived, carrying 50 Saudi citizens and a number of citizens from friendly countries,” state-run Al-Akhbariya television reported.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said in a statement about the security and safety of Pakistanis in Sudan that he is keeping a close eye on the situation in Sudan. There are about 1500 Pakistanis in Sudan.
