Quetta: The transporters announced a strike against the inappropriate behavior of customs and FC, there was a risk of loss of 17 thousand sacks of wheat purchased from Naseerabad division.
According to Express News, the Food Department of Balochistan has set a target of buying one million sacks of wheat from Naseerabad Division. A huge sum of six billion rupees has been allocated for the purchase of wheat, the support price of which has also been increased.
According to the sources, wheat was to be transported from Jhal Magsi to Quetta through Wingo Khuzdar due to bad roads. Customs and FC have stopped the trucks carrying wheat in Khuzdar.
Sources say that despite showing the trucks billet and other necessary documents to the customs and FC authorities, the trucks are not being allowed to go to Quetta, there is a fear of spoilage of wheat due to rains.
The officials of the food department have contacted the customs and FC officials and apprised them of the entire situation, but due to the non-cooperation of these federal institutions, the wheat procurement campaign is being severely affected and the Balochistan government is suffering a loss of crores of rupees. Fear arose.
