In anti-corruption court Lahore, a bail hearing was held in the case of alleged corruption of 12.5 crores of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi, in which the anti-corruption lawyer told the court that Pervez Elahi had submitted a written statement. Parvez Elahi did not appear in the court during the hearing and a request for exemption from attendance was filed on his behalf. Later, Judge Ali Raza of Anti-Corruption Court Lahore reserved the decision on Parvez Elahi’s bail application after the arguments of the lawyer were completed.
Later, the court issued a decision, in which the anti-corruption court confirmed Parvez Elahi’s bail and ordered him to deposit a bond of 10 lakh rupees. The court declared that the accused is not punished on the basis of the statement of an accused. Bail is confirmed for lack of evidence.
