The anti-corruption court of Lahore has reserved its decision on the plea of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for interim bail and immunity from attendance in the corruption case.
Judge Ali Raza of Lahore’s anti-corruption court heard the bail application against the former Chief Minister of Punjab in the corruption case of 12.5 million rupees.
During the hearing, the prosecutor told the court that yesterday the investigation was incomplete, today the statement of Afzal Shah has also come, during the investigation Parvez Elahi has been found guilty, Afzal Shah has recorded the statement of 161, in which Afzal Shah Elahi and others have been accused of accepting a bribe of Rs 12.5 crore.
The court inquired whether this statement of Afzal Shah was recorded in front of the accused. Was Pervez Elahi present at the place where the alleged bribe money was paid?
Amjad Pervez Advocate told the court that the petitioner Pervez Elahi was not present at the spot at that time.
