Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has contacted his Chinese counterpart by telephone and congratulated him on winning the election.
According to the statement issued in this regard, bilateral issues and Pakistan-China relations were discussed in the telephone call.
The statement said that the Prime Minister expressed China’s support for the One China Policy, Tibet, Hong Kong and the South China Sea.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif while talking to the Chinese counterpart said that Pakistan is with you on China’s core issues.
According to the statement, the Prime Minister thanked China for its principled stand on Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistani issues.
On this occasion, the Chinese Prime Minister said that China will continue to support Pakistan’s national development, security and unity, and will stand by Pakistan in every era.
According to the statement, Pakistan and China have also agreed to increase cooperation for regional peace, prosperity and security.
