Explosive ordnance was defused at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in Swat’s Kabal.
Police say that people should not panic, the explosives have been defused.
Police sources have said that 50 to 60 kg of explosives were lying in the CTD police station.
According to sources, hand grenades and mortar shells were also lying in the CTD police station.
On the other hand, the IG Police visited the site, CTD and other relevant authorities briefed them regarding the investigation of the Swat-Kil blast.
Sources say that the IG will hold a meeting with the DIG of Police and the DPO.
Rescue officials said that the search and rescue operation is going on in the debris at the blast site, so far 51 injured and 17 dead have been shifted to the hospital, all the dead are being shifted to their native areas.
Officials say that martyrs from Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Chitral, Mardan and Swat districts are included. More than 100 rescue personnel are participating in the operation with heavy machinery.
District Emergency Officer Swat Malik Sherdal Khan has said that the operation will continue until all the debris is cleared.
