The number of martyred personnel has increased to 15 in the explosion at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in Swat’s Kabal.
According to reports, 2 CTD officers are also included in the martyrs, while the condition of 8 of the 57 injured is said to be critical.
DIG CTD attributed the explosion to negligence and said that the explosion was apparently caused by a short circuit.
DIG CTD said that the explosion took place in the old office of CTD. It does not seem to be a suicide or terrorist incident.
He further said that due to carelessness, there was an explosion in the weapons kept in the Kot.
