The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to install bird repellent systems at international airports to protect aircraft from birds.
According to sources from Karachi, it has been decided to install bird repellent system at Karachi Islamabad and Lahore airports in the first phase.
Sources say that due to the collision of birds with the planes, the airlines lose millions of dollars annually and there is a fear of major accidents.
Installation of bird repellent system at airports will help in safe flight operation of aircrafts.
