During police encounters in different areas of Karachi, 1 robber was killed while 4 robbers including 3 injured were arrested.
In the alleged encounter in Korangi Industrial Area, 2 persons were arrested with injuries, out of which 1 died during treatment.
According to the police, the arrested accused were escaping after stealing cash and mobile phone from a citizen named Amir.
When the police arrived, the accused opened fire, and the police retaliated and the two accused were caught, along with one injured person.
Police say that 3 pistols, stolen money of 12 thousand rupees, mobile phone and motorcycle have been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused, while the injured bandit was shifted to the hospital where he died during treatment.
Meanwhile, two injured robbers were arrested after the exchange of fire near Garden Dhobi Ghat.
Garden Police arrived on the information of the incident where the accused opened fire on the police, 2 accused were injured due to the retaliatory fire of the police, Sher Ali and Abdul Rahim are among the injured, the accused belong to Lyari.
In Joharabad also, after the exchange of fire, a street criminal was arrested in an injured condition.
The police on patrol signaled the suspect to stop.
Instead of stopping, the accused opened fire on the police, the police retaliated and the accused was arrested with injuries.
The arrested injured accused has been identified as Hussain son of Imran.
