On the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, 3 people died in electrocution and traffic accidents

Karachi: On the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, 3 people died and 3 were injured in an electric shock and a traffic accident.

According to the details, on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, 2 people were killed in electrocution incidents in different areas of the city and 1 person was killed in a traffic accident while 3 people including 2 women were injured.

A person was electrocuted near Sector 19 Jai Makki Masjid in New Karachi and was immediately taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors confirmed his death after examination. Rescue officials say that the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Hasan, while the incident is said to have been electrocuted while working in the shop.

Meanwhile, 30-year-old Mehtab died due to electrocution while doing electrical work at Bhayani Center in North Nazimabad Block M, whose body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by volunteers of Edhi.

In a traffic accident near No. 1 High School in Landhi area, a young man riding a motorcycle was killed while 2 women were injured.

In this regard, SHO Landhi Farrukh Hashmi said that the accident occurred as a result of a collision between a rickshaw and a motorcycle. However, the identity of the person, who is said to be around 23 years old, has not been identified, but the police are investigating further in this regard.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the Nipa flyover track going to Sohrab Goth, who was shifted to Jinnah Hospital in a critical condition by Chhipa volunteers.

In this regard, the rescue officials said that the victim could not be identified immediately, while his age is said to be around 35 years. While a car also overturned on Nippa flyover, where the camouflaged booth is located, a team of Rangers also reached the spot after the incident.

When contacted in this regard, SHO Aziz Bhatti Miraj Anwar expressed ignorance about the incident.
