Aerial firing in Karachi after sighting of Eid moon, child killed, 20 people injured


After the sighting of the Eid-ul-Fitr moon in Karachi, a child was killed and more than 20 people were injured as a result of aerial firing in different areas of the city. Among the injured are a child and a woman.

According to police and rescue sources, a 15-year-old boy Hasanullah was killed in the firing near Madinah Mosque in Metrowal Zia Colony.

North Nazimabad, Orangi Town Sabri Chowk, Rais Amrohi Colony, Lyari, New Karachi, Fatima Jinnah Colony, Nazimabad, Quaidabad, Liaquatabad, Baldia Yusuf Goth, Rashidabad Swat Mahal and other areas due to shooting incidents from unknown direction. More than a dozen people including three children and a woman were injured.

Meanwhile, 15-year-old Mujeeb Ali and 50-year-old Amjad were injured in a house shot from an unknown direction in the area of ​​Soldier Bazar and Lyari Ali Mohammad Mohalla Degree School. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed, Jinnah and Civil Hospitals.

After the shooting incidents, police in the city were put on high alert by Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odhu. All SSPs, SPs, DSPs and SHOs of Karachi were directed to patrol their respective areas.
