The Brussels police say that the person who attacked people with a knife last evening in the metro station Schuman, located near the European institutions, is not a terrorist.
Out of the three people injured in the attack, only one is currently undergoing treatment in hospital. This was said by the spokesperson of the Brussels police prosecutor while talking to journalists.
It should be noted that at 5:30 local time on Monday evening, a person armed with a knife attacked people in the metro station Schuman, located under the offices of the European Council, the European Commission and the European External Action Service, in Brussels, the European capital. In which three people were injured.
Later, the police at the station overpowered the assailant and arrested him.
The spokesperson said that the attacker was produced before the judge today where he will be charged with attempted murder. But in the meantime, no evidence of terrorism was found behind this act of the accused, further investigation is ongoing.
