Karachi: 5 people, including 2 young girls, were injured due to aerial firing carried out in different areas of the city to celebrate the sighting of the Eid-ul-Fitr moon.
According to the details, 14-year-old Arzoo Dakhtar Naseem was seriously injured by a bullet coming from an unknown direction in Rangar Mohalla Sector D-3 Madina Colony, the girl was taken to Civil Hospital for immediate medical assistance.
A 3-year-old girl, Urwa Dakhtar Inam, was injured by a bullet from an unknown direction near the site area Rashidabad Rabbani Masjid. According to rescue officials, the girl was shot while playing outside the house.
12-year-old Samir was injured in Bilal Colony area of Korangi due to a bullet coming from an unknown direction and was taken to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
A teenage boy was injured by a bullet coming from an unknown direction in a house near Block L Farooq Mosque in Orangi Town area. The volunteers of Chhipa shifted him to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for immediate medical assistance, where he was identified as 13 Zain Khan. He was shot in the back.
In another incident in Baldia Town No. 5, a person was injured by a bullet coming from an unknown direction near Khawaja Baba Mazar, who was taken to the civil hospital by Edhi volunteers. According to rescue officials, the victim was identified as 30-year-old Syed Kamran Bukhari. It was done in the name of who was shot on the left hand.
In all the five incidents, the police failed to arrest any of the accused.
