Peshawar: Mufti Popalzai, head of Peshawar’s local Rawit Hilal Committee, announced that Friday would be the 30th day of fasting and Eid would be celebrated on 22nd of April.
A meeting of the non-governmental local Sighting of the Crescent Committee was held in Peshawar’s Qasim Ali Khan Mosque under the chairmanship of Mufti Popalzai.
After the meeting, Mufti Popalzai announced that the moon of the month of Shawwal 1444 Hijri was not seen in any area of Pakhtunkhwa, so Eid al-Fitr will be held on Saturday, April 22, and thirty fasts will be completed in Ramadan this year.
It should be noted that this year Ramadan started simultaneously across the country, while now Eid will also be celebrated on the same day.
