79 people were crushed to death during a stampede during the distribution of a charity fund in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen.
According to foreign media reports, the tragic incident took place on Thursday when businessmen were distributing charity funds to poor people.
During the distribution of funds, there was a stampede among the citizens, as a result of which 79 people were killed and more than 100 were injured.
According to the Ministry of Interior of Yemen, the dead bodies and injured people have been transferred to the local hospital, while those who distributed the funds have also been detained, further investigation of the incident is ongoing.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior has not mentioned the final number of people killed in the incident.
