The annual meeting of the IMF and the World Bank will be held in Morocco during October.
Earlier, meetings of the two financial institutions have been held in Dubai, Istanbul, Singapore, Tokyo, Lima and Bali.
Bangkok has been selected for the annual meeting in October 2026.
The Board of Governors of both institutions announced the decision in a joint statement.
Generally, the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank are held every two consecutive years at the headquarters of the World Bank in Washington and every third year a meeting is held in any one of the member countries of the two institutions.
Remember that the IMF was established in 1945, its member countries are 190.
