Indian actor Manoj Bajpayee has said that in the beginning, his pictures were thrown in the garbage bin in front of his eyes.
Manoj Bajpayee, who made his name in the film industry with the 1988 blockbuster Satya, went on to act in films like Aligarh, Gangs of Wasepur, Panjar and Bhonsle.
In one of his interviews, three-time National Award winner Manoj Bajpai shed light on the struggles of his early career days.
Manoj said that like most people, I too had a long period of struggle, frustration and anxiety in my life to make something big in Mumbai.
He said that when he used to give his photo to the assistant directors, they used to throw the photo in the waste bin placed in front of them.
Manoj Bajpayee said that to turn this humiliation into hope, I used to perform newspaper characters for my friends in the evenings.
He said that all this went on and during that time he used to incorporate what he learned at the National School of Drama into his roles so that he could prepare himself professionally until he landed his first film role.
