Demand of business organizations for security clearance of foreigners residing in Islamabad

Business community to provide list of illegal residents to police, business organizations appeal (Photo File)

Islamabad: The business community of the federal capital strongly condemned the terrorist incident in Peshawar Police Lines and demanded security clearance for foreigners residing in Islamabad.

All Pakistan Association of Traders and Traders Action Committee Islamabad President Ajmal Baloch, Secretary and Chairman Traders Committee ICCI Khalid Chaudhry and other business leaders in a joint statement yesterday condemned the incident of terrorism in Peshawar Police Lines. It has been said that those who commit terrorism in mosques cannot be Muslims under any circumstances.

Business leaders said that police lines are considered the most sensitive area, access of terrorists there is a question mark on the functioning of security agencies. He demanded Army Chief General Asim Munir to conduct an inquiry into the terrorist incident and make the terrorists and their facilitators a lesson.

He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of the martyred policemen and added that innumerable foreigners have settled in Islamabad. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah should get their security clearance and evict the illegal residents from the city. These people are systematically involved in theft and dacoity while many of them have been issued business licenses by MCI.

He also appealed to the officials of all the markets to identify the illegal residents in their area and also provide the list of traders to the police.
