In Kabul, Pakistan’s Affairs Minister Obaidur Rehman Nizamani met Interim Foreign Minister Amir Khan Motaqi, Afghan Foreign Minister welcomed the Pakistani ambassador.
According to the statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that the return of the Pakistani Minister of Affairs to Kabul will have a positive impact on the relations between the two countries.
The Afghan Foreign Minister said that the release of Afghan prisoners from Pakistan is a positive step. It is hoped that other Afghan prisoners will also be released before Eid.
According to the spokesman, the Afghan Foreign Minister also encouraged increasing transparency in the Pak-Afghan visa.
On this occasion, Pakistani Affairs Minister Obaidur Rehman Nizamani expressed hope that Pakistan-Afghan relations will improve.
He added that the embassy will work closely with the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs on visa issues.
