There was a stampede after the fire alarm went off in the famous shopping mall located on Rashid Minhas Road in Federal B area of Karachi, while the chief security officer of the shopping mall said that the fire alarm was mistakenly triggered.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Central Maruf Usman, the fire alarm installed there went off after a gas cylinder fell in an outlet in the food court of a well-known shopping mall located in Federal B Industrial Area on Rashid Minhas Road.
After the fire alarm of the shopping mall went off, panic spread among the people there and a stampede ensued, as a result of which several women and children were also slightly injured.
According to the police, a large number of people were present in the mall due to Eid shopping.
According to Edhi Foundation, their ambulances and volunteers reached the spot after the fire alarm was reported, but no one was found to take the injured to the hospital.
Fire brigade officials also say that we also received information but no report was filed.
The chief security officer of the shopping mall, Shabbir Awan, says that the fire alarm was mistakenly triggered, which led to rumors that the fire had started.
