Islamabad Police rejected Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed’s answer in the matter of allegations against former President Asif Zardari and ordered him to appear in person by tomorrow evening.
Police officials say that the federal police will issue a personal appearance notice to Sheikh Rasheed.
According to the police officials, the answer through the lawyer is not acceptable, Sheikh Rasheed should present the evidence of the charge against the former president.
Police spokesperson said that Sheikh Rasheed has the last chance to appear before the police till 4 pm tomorrow.
The spokesperson said that Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed is not cooperating with the police inquiry.
The police spokesperson further said that Sheikh Rasheed should appear and explain his statement otherwise legal action will be taken.
It should be clear that Sheikh Rasheed, in his reply submitted by the lawyer, had taken a stand that he did not accuse Asif Zardari of Imran Khan’s murder by himself, referring to Imran Khan’s statement.
He said that I do not have any evidence in this case, nor do I have any connection, the application against me is completely false and fabricated.
Sheikh Rasheed further said that the petitioner misrepresented his identity, wrote a fake ID card number.
