An application was filed in the Islamabad High Court to remove the authority of the Chief Justice of Pakistan over the dam fund.
In the petition filed by local lawyer Adnan Iqbal, it was asked that the name of the Chief Justice be removed from the account title of the dam funds.
In the petition filed, it is also requested to suspend the authority of the Registrar Supreme Court over the dam funds till the final decision.
The petition requested that former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar be summoned and asked in what capacity he involved the judiciary in unrelated work.
