Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that if the Supreme Court interferes in the Parliament, it will also violate its limits.
During an interview given to a private news website, he said that if Parliament’s right to legislate is not recognized, then the mockery of the election should also be ended.
Speaker National Assembly said that the behavior of denigrating the Parliament will have dangerous consequences, the Chief Justice should reduce the atmosphere of conflict in the institutions, the judiciary should not be held accountable by the Parliament.
He said that the government should also give up stubbornness, politicians should sit down and talk about the elections.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the Army Chief expressed his belief in the commitment to the Constitution and the supremacy of the Parliament, that no new military operation is taking place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, operations against terrorists will continue.
The Speaker of the National Assembly said that he was unable to understand what is wrong with making a full court. If instead of three, seventeen judges will listen, the uncertainty will end.
Apart from this, Speaker National Assembly said that the resignations of PTI cannot be reconsidered, if the court gives a decision in favor of PTI members, they can return to the assembly.
