The meeting of the Federal Cabinet under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister will be held today at 2:30 PM in the Parliament House.
The Federal Cabinet meeting will consider the order of the Supreme Court regarding the release of funds.
It should be remembered that today is the last date to release 21 billion rupees to the Election Commission on the order of the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had ordered that the Accountant General of the Ministry of Finance should submit the verification report of the disbursement of money to the court on April 18.
In the order, it was said that the Election Commission should also submit a report on the receipt of Rs 21 billion funds to the court on April 18.
Besides, a special meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance of the National Assembly was convened today to review the provision of funds. Attorney General, State Bank Governor and Auditor General have been specially invited to attend the meeting.
