The criminal approached the Supreme Court against the death sentence

Zahir Jafar, the convict in Noor Muqadam murder case, approached the Supreme Court against the death sentence.

Zahir Jafar filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Islamabad High Court.

In his petition, he said that the trial court and the High Court did not properly evaluate the evidence, it is against the principles of justice to convict on the FIR full of errors.

It said that the evidence which was admitted was not admissible according to the law of evidence.

In it, it was requested that the Islamabad High Court’s death penalty decision should be annulled. The death sentence should be declared null and void and ordered to be acquitted.

It should be noted that Zahir Jafar, the criminal who killed Noor Muqaddam, was sentenced to life imprisonment in one crime and death sentence in others by the trial court.

It should be noted that the Islamabad High Court had also converted life imprisonment into death penalty.

Zahir Jafar has been sentenced to a total of 11 years and fined Rs 5 lakh.
