Islamabad: Zahir Jafar, the main culprit of the Noor Muqaddam murder case, filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the death sentence.
According to Express News, Zahir Jafar, the killer of Noor Muqaddam, has filed an appeal against the decision of the Islamabad High Court in the Supreme Court of Justice and said that the trial court and the High Court did not properly evaluate the evidence, punishing on the FIR full of errors. It is against the principles of justice.
It has been stated in the petition that the evidences which have been admitted are not admissible according to the law of evidence, the death sentence decision of the Islamabad High Court should be annulled, the death sentence should be declared null and void and the acquittal should be ordered.
It should be noted that Zahir Jafar was sentenced to life imprisonment by the trial court for one crime and death sentence for other crimes. Islamabad High Court changed the life imprisonment to death sentence. A fine of Rs.
