Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor, who died in a traffic accident in Islamabad yesterday, was laid to rest in the graveyard of his native Tajbi Khel.
Mufti Abdul Shakoor’s funeral prayer and burial were attended by members of the Qaumi Asbamli, Mohsin Dawar, Maulana Muhammad Anwar, and Muhammad Khan Sherani.
Commissioner Bannu Division, Deputy Commissioner Lucky Marwat, JUI workers and a large number of citizens also participated in the funeral prayer.
The dead body of Mufti Abdul Shakoor was brought from Islamabad to Lakki Marwat this morning.
A security plan was set up by the police in the area, and police personnel were deployed at the funeral home and on the roads.
It should be noted that yesterday, Mufti Abdul Shakoor was going from Marriott in Islamabad to Secretariat Chowk when a vehicle hit his vehicle on Shahrah-e-Dastur.
After the accident, Maulana Abdul Shakoor was shifted to Polyclinic Hospital but he could not recover.
The funeral prayer of Mufti Abdul Shakoor was led by PDM and JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Jamia Darul Salam Sector G6.
