Islamabad: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has welcomed the announcement of financial assistance by Pakistan’s key friendly countries.

The IMF mission chief added that the IMF is supporting the efforts of the Pakistani authorities, adding that the IMF is looking forward to receiving the necessary financial assurances as soon as possible to pave the way for the successful completion of the Ninth Economic Review. However, no date has been given for a staff-level agreement with Pakistani officials by the IMF mission chief.
