Prime Minister of Law Nazir Tarar has said that legislation is the right of the elected parliament of the people, we will not give the right of legislation to anyone else, no court has this right.
While holding a press conference in Islamabad, the Law Minister enacted legislation on Supreme Court Practice and Procedure. It is sad and regrettable that the bill was prevented from coming into force by forming a bench. We will without hesitation legislate for this again.
Azam Nazir Tarar said that I stand with the Parliament on this, the lawyers supported the Parliament.
He also said that we made this law which we are proud of.
The Law Minister said that the law will be related to the rights and justice of the people, we will without hesitation make the law again.
Azam Nazir Tarar said that nations do not move forward by building buildings, they move forward by knowledge.
He said that on the objections of the lawyers, the Prime Minister said that the government is a friend of lawyers. We had to legislate, worked in record time, made the Lawyers Protection Act.
