Electricity is 58 paisa per unit expensive for Kelectric customers


The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the price of electricity by 58 paise per unit for electric consumers.

NEPRA has issued a power price hike notification, according to which the price hike is due to the February fuel price adjustment.

According to the notification, the price of electricity has been increased due to the February fuel price adjustment, which will be applied in the April electricity bills.

According to the Nepra statement, KElectric had requested an increase of Rs 1.66 paise per unit.

According to the statement, the authority had held a public hearing on FCA on March 30, 2023, before which customers were charged Rs 1.71 paisa for January FCA.

According to the notification, it will be applicable to all electricity consumers except Lifeline and electric vehicle charging stations.
