Washington: Jack Teixeira, an employee of the National Guard, was detained on the charge of disclosing a sensitive and secret document of the United States.
According to the World News Agency, the FBI arrested Jack Teixeira, an employee of the US Air Force National Guard, in connection with the investigation of the online leak of classified US documents.
The FBI said at a press briefing that 21-year-old Jake Teixeira was running an online chat room called OG, and it was on that platform that the classified document first surfaced.
The online platform had a group of 24 people, including Russians and Ukrainians, mostly sharing weapons-related messages and racist memes.
However, for the past few days, secret American documents were also being shared.
The FBI has suspected that 21-year-old Jack Teixeira is behind the disclosure of sensitive US government secrets, including the war in Ukraine.
Two days ago, President Joe Biden expressed concern over the leak of a sensitive document, saying that the intelligence agencies had approached the leaker.
