Texas: More than 18,000 cows died from burns and suffocation in a terrible explosion and fire in a dairy farm in the US state of Texas.
According to the international news organization, the explosion at the Animal Welfare Institute in Washington DC has not been determined. The sound of the explosion was heard far away.
Thousands of cows were present at the time of the explosion at the Animal Welfare Institute, of which 18,000 have been confirmed dead and hundreds of injured are facing difficulties in treatment, while dozens have been rescued.
Experts say that one of the reasons for the explosion could be the machinery used in the dairy farm or methane gas. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
Accidents in dairy farms and the death of cattle in them are a common thing in the United States. Only between 2018 and 2021, 3 million cattle were killed in various incidents.
