Apart from Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, Justice Muneeb Akhtar are included as parties.
Justice Mazhar Naqvi, Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Ayesha A. Malik are also included as parties in the reference.
Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Shahid Waheed are also included as parties in the reference.
Reference is made to Article 209 of the Constitution and Sections 3 to 6 and 9 of the Judges’ Code of Conduct.
According to the reference filed in the Supreme Judicial Council, the powers of the 8-member unconstitutional bench were constituted by setting the bill passed by Parliament for hearing.
According to the reference, the injunction against the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill is a violation of judicial norms.
